In the assembly we will be asking the sixth graders, by a show of hands, if they have friends that have smoked or is smoking. Two corners will be played, the corners will be YES or NO. We will not ask questions but have opinions that can be answered by yes or no. After the kids settle down in the corner of their choice we will have a few volunteers explain their reasoning for their choice.

The sixth grade was picked because kids as young as the age of 11 and 12 start abusing drugs in many ways. We also chosed the sixth graders because they would be more willing to listen to what we have to say.

We are hoping that we will lower the drug abuse rate amongst teens and young adults. We are also hoping to raise awareness about its dangers amongst the students in Malden.
